Kenny Kincaid is back at it again on America Loves Food, your favorite TV cooking competition. In this one-act opera, we welcome three competitors, Ivy, Kendra, and Álvaro, as they compete to make America's favorite comfort food, Mac ‘n’ Cheese. As three contestants vie for the top prize, some truths are revealed about themselves and this country’s relationship between food and history.
The Cook-Off marks the fourth full length opera commissioned by the Vanguard Emerging Composer Residency. Pauline is singing the role of Beryl Bennett, an illustrious Scottish international food critic and writer who will be judging the cooking competition.
Snapshots of Every Voice celebrates what artists want to share through art song. Performances in this series showcase the diversity and richness of art song repertoire, allowing us to experience music that deeply resonates within us.

Sanctuary City showcases emerging and accomplished mid-career artists and a variety of media, from installations to award-winning comic books, the works on view address themes of immigration and community building. Experiences of trauma are commonplace in the lives of immigrants, but that does not invalidate or diminish the experiences and narratives of love, found family, resilience, resistance, and friendship. We dive into this conversation with heightened awareness, open ears, and hearts, taking in the ideas presented to us in hopes to learn, offering safe spaces, and creating more welcoming and safer environments for immigrant and refugee populations.
In this community curated exhibit by Julia Csekö, Pauline joins Filipinx interdisciplinary mulitmedia artist Lani Asunción in a performance of Song for Land far away at Sea, combining Filipino music and tradition with sound experimentation, creating an immersive experience for audiences.
The closing concert of Collaborative Arts Institute Chicago’s annual Collaborative Works Festival, The American Songbag, will examine Chicago poet, journalist, and urban folk singer Carl Sandburg’s seminal anthology of American Folk songs. Published in 1927, while Sandburg was living in Chicago, the anthology was an instantly popular collection of folk songs that proved to be foundational for the American folk resurgence, inspiring singers like Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie. A powerful statement of a diverse vision of American identity, Sandburg described the collection as a "ragbag of stripes and streaks of color from nearly all ends of the earth ... rich with the diversity of the United States."
The concert will feature arrangements of many of the songs contained in Sandburg's collection alongside various art song settings of his poetry.

Astral announces the participants and panelists for its 2022 National Auditions in the voice, woodwinds & brass, percussion, and small chamber ensemble disciplines.
The auditions will take place in Philadelphia on May 24, 25, and 26. The independent panel, comprised of industry-leading musicians, managers, and educators, will adjudicate the live auditions and recommend artists to be passed on to the final, interview round of the Auditions.

Juba Freeman arrives in London after winning his freedom from slavery by fighting for the British in the Revolutionary War. Thrown headfirst into British society, he meets Amelia Alumond, a member of the British Black gentry, and reconnects with other ex-slaves who are struggling to build new lives for themselves as free men. Inspired by historical events, the opera sheds a light on a forgotten corner of history – and challenges current assumptions of what life was like in 18th-century London for a person of color.
In this world premiere by British composer Errollyn Wallen, Pauline joins the production as a member of the ensemble.
In memory of the Atlanta shootings on March 16, 2021 and International Women’s Day, Wear Yellow Proudly presents a song recital program featuring Asian women composers and poets with the intention of raising awareness and uplifting the stories of Asian women.
Performing with Pauline in the event are mezzo-sopranos Alice Chung, Sophia Maekawa, and pianist Ting Ting Wong. This program features pieces by various female Asian and Asian American composers including Beata Moon, Bosba Pahn, Chen Yi, Chihchun Chi-sun Lee, Cynthia Lee Wong, Justine F. Chen, Melissa Dunphy, and Michele Cheng.
Noah and Phoebe leave the city when he inherits his grandparents’ orchard. The young couple dreams of the life they will create together, but they are unprepared for what lies ahead. In addition to the never-ending demands of the house and the land, Noah is haunted by memories of his last visit to the orchard, many years ago.

This program features the standard German Romantic tropes of the Wanderer, the wilderness, Sehnsucht and Einsamkeit. Centered on the music of Franz Schubert and Robert Schumann as well as the poetry of Nikolaus Lenau and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, our selections will highlight the under-appreciated ways in which American audiences and performers can find agency in the context of typically Germanic Romantic repertoire.

Chicago Opera Theater will celebrate the season with the local premiere of Mark Adamo’s family-friendly holiday opera Becoming Santa Claus.
Pauline will be covering the role of Queen Sophine.
The semi-staged production will give audiences a rare opportunity to hear two world-class dramatic mezzo-sopranos debut new roles opposite one another. Jamie Barton will make her role debut in the title role while Blythely Oratonio, the tenor alter ego of the legendary Stephanie Blythe, will sing his first Don José.
As she begins her young artist residency with Chicago Opera Theater, Pauline will be covering the role of Don José.
Pauline makes her debut as the alto soloist in Gustav Mahler’s Resurrection Symphony, with The Orchestra Now conducted by Leon Botstein.

Pauline takes part in Bard College’s Winter Songfest, a beloved annual holiday tradition in the Hudson Valley.
